Fri 29th Sept
This week has gone particularly fast as we speedily approach our residential trip to Culmington Manor. We have used our class collective worship time over the last couple of weeks to focus on 'Culmington Courage' to help prepare ourselves for what is to come. The year 6's have been really helpful with advice and top tips!
Some comments from the class -
"I'm feeling very excited to see and experience Culmington Manor!"
"I'm feeling nervous because it is my second time going but I'm going to make the most of it because it is my last year!"
"I'm nervous and excited but I'm happy because all of my friends will be there."
"I might miss home but I know I'll have the support of my friends and my teachers"
"I can't decide which activity I'm most looking forward to! I can't wait for them all!"
The children have really impressed me this week whilst writing their own Greek myths. We have used a model text and their own ideas to innovate and create.
On Thursday afternoon the children settled in to their water colour painting of 'starry night' by Van Gogh. It was lovely to see the children share kind comments about each others artwork and feel proud of their pieces.
It has been a real pleasure to meet with parents this week at parents evenings. I am really looking forward to working with this group of children this year and watching them grow. Thank you all for coming in.
Good luck packing, see you on Monday!
