This week the Kingfishers have had lots of fun learning outdoors. We enjoyed playing in the woods at Forest School and we enjoyed estimating and counting objects outside. We estimated how many objects we could fit in a container. We then put our objects in groups of ten with some ones left over. We then counted in tens as the children found out that it is easier to do this with a large amount of objects. Finally, at the end of the week we were all very creative. We enjoyed using pastels to draw stars inspired by Vincent Van Gogh's "The Starry Night".
