28th June 24

Once again, Kingfishers have had a very busy week! We have started looking at non-fiction texts in preparation for writing our own reports about an animal, year 1 and 2 both performed some wonderful music to each other in their music lessons, we cut out our animal puppets in preparation for adding the details next week and then sewing the pieces together the following week and finally we had an afternoon of science! What a busy week!

Our afternoon of science linked with "time" and involved the children carrying out an investigation to see if doing certain exercises made our hearts beat faster. We each took our pulse for one minute before we started the investigation. We then did a variety of activities. Each activity was done for thirty seconds and after each activity we took our pulses again for another minute. The children recorded their results after each exercise.  We then talked about our results and what should happen to our body after doing exercise.

Have a look at the photographs of the children carrying out their investigation.

Have a lovely weekend!
