Fri 10th May

It's Deaf Awareness Week this week and the Owls have been learning the BSL alphabet thanks to one of the children who kindly brought in this picture guide. The Owls have the weekend challenge of learning to sign their name!

They have also been telling the time using Roman numerals. They liked the patterns of IV....V....VI....and the concept of one less than a number (IV), the number (V) and then one more (VI), two more (VII), three more (VIII) before it becomes one less again.

And finally, what fantastic writing! The children certainly applied their learning in their final piece today. We had two emotion sentences, conjunctions galore and prepositions of time, place and manner. Wow!

We are looking for reading volunteers so please contact the office if you are interested or know of anyone who would like the opportunity to work with us!

Have a lovely weekend!
