Governing Board
Our Governing Board has general responsibility for both schools with a view to promoting high standards of educational achievement. They achieved 'Excellence in Governance' in 2017 which was awarded by the Oxford Diocesan Board of Education.
The Constitution of our Governing Board is as follows:
- 3 Foundation Governors appointed by The Diocesan Board of Education.
- 1 Local Authority Governor appointed by West Berkshire Council.
- 1 Staff Governor elected by the staff of the school.
- 2 Parent Governors elected by parents of the schools.
- 4 Co-opted Governors.
- The Headteacher.
The Full Governing Board meets at least eight times a year and there are Governor Committees that meet from 2-6 times a year depending on their role and requirements. These are the Resources Committee and other committees such as those dealing with appeals and complaints which meet as required.
Minutes of meetings are available on request from the Clerk to the Governors or the School Office.

Five Year Strategic Plan
The strategic plan is a high level long term plan, extending over a period of 5 years. It sets out the school’s vision, values and long term strategic priorities. It is aimed at the key stakeholders in the school, children and their parents, staff, governors and other stakeholders.
The plan is developed through discussion by and consultation with staff, governors, parents and pupils. It is informed by school self-evaluation. School self-evaluation may also lead to amendment of the plan during the year. However we will act with integrity and consistently in line with our agreed vision, setting clear goals to structure the strategic intentions. We will reconsider and revise the vision where necessary and encourage a visionary approach at all levels.
The strategic plan is complemented by the School Development Plan (SDP), a shorter- term operational plan extending over a period of 1-2 years. The SDP is developed with the staff team and sets out in operational terms how the long term strategy of the school is to be achieved.
