10th May 24

We have definitely been "living life in all its fullness" this week.

In maths, the children have been thinking about place value and calculations. They have been finding out about how important it is to know our pairs of numbers that make 10 as these can help us with other calculations. Please continue to support your child in learning these at home. Year 2 are also working hard on their 2, 5 and 10 times tables. Once again, please encourage your child to practice these at home. The more facts they know, the easier calculations will become for them.

In art the children have started making their own sculptures from paper. They are using the skills that they learnt a couple of weeks ago to support them with their designs. We have had paper folded, pleated and much, much more. This week Year 2 also performed some wonderful music to Year 1 and to finish finish off the week the children completed writing their own versions of "Little Red Riding Hood".

Finally, if there is anybody who is willing to support the school in any way that they can, by reading, helping out at forest school etc, please speak to a member of staff.

Have a lovely weekend!
