This week Kingfishers have been authors, artists, mathematicians and scientists! In Maths we have thinking about pairs of numbers that make a specific amount. Year 2 have taken this a step further and have worked out the missing number needed to make a specific amount.

In Literacy we have written our own stories based on "Alfie's Star", the story that we learnt last week. The children changed all the characters but followed the structure of "Alfie's Star". There were cheeky monkeys, sparkly horses, all sorts of different characters!

In Science the children were looking at the properties of different materials. We focussed on the properties "hard" and "soft" with materials in our classroom. The children then had to sort pictures of the different objects. Have a look at our photo and ask your child about what they did.
