What a busy week we have had "living life in all its fullness"! The highlight of our week was visiting The Base at Greenham where the children thoroughly enjoyed looking around the art exhibition "Oak" by Kurt Jackson. They really enjoyed looking at the very big pieces of artwork hanging on the walls. The children also had great fun being artists themselves. They were able to paint animals in the gallery where we had viewed the exhibition. There are definitely some budding artists in Kingfishers!

Following on from our visit, the children planned their recount of events in our literacy lesson on Wednesday. They will be writing this up next week. Was your child able to tell you all about our visit to The Base and what we did?

In maths we have been thinking about adding. We have used some number stories to help us with this. For example, there were six frogs in a pond and four more jumped in. How many frogs are there in the pond now? Maybe you could make some number stories up with your children at home this weekend.

This week we also went to church for our harvest festival. The children in Kingfishers sang a lovely song about harvest to the audience and they performed a harvest poem. We are very proud of them all for standing up in church and doing this. Thank you very much for all your donations of food.

Have a lovely weekend!
