The children have had an amazing last week of term. They have really "lived life in all its fullness". The week started with Forest School on Monday. The children all toasted pieces of fruit bread on a camp fire. This was a lovely end to a term of Forest School.
On Tuesday the children spent most of the day chopping vegetables, making their pitta bread sandwiches or wraps and then evaluating what they had made after they had eaten it. Pretty much everybody enjoyed their wrap or pitta bread sandwich. When we evaluated what we had made, we had some interesting suggestions. Maybe next time we could use tomato sauce or barbeque sauce rather than just salad cream. It is also a good idea to choose more than one vegetable for your wrap or pitta bread sandwich!
The children have also been busy making Christmas cards and doing Christmas art. The children had filled their jar with pompoms and as a reward they chose to have some Christmas creative activities - painting, junk modelling, colourings etc. Much fun was had by all!
On Wednesday we went to church for our Christmas service. Once again, the children amazed the audience with how confident they were and how beautifully they sang. This was followed by a delicious Christmas lunch and then a visit from Father Christmas. It was all very exciting!
So as you can see, we really have "lived life in all its fullness" this week.
Finally, all the staff in Kingfishers would like to thank you and your children very much for the kind gifts and best wishes that were given to us. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
See you in January.
