We can't believe that we have reached the end of term. This children really have lived their lives in all its fullness this week! The week started with our final P.E. session with the specialist P.E. teacher from Park House. The children's final session was on "caving" and what fun they had! First they had to work in teams to move objects with ropes and then each team had to see how much treasure they could find in the "caves". It was lovely to see all the teamwork going on as the children helped each other to complete the different tasks. We could definitely see our Christian value of "community" being shown.
On Tuesday the children all made their biscuits that they had designed. They had chosen to either make a ginger biscuit or a shortbread biscuit. The children enjoyed kneading the dough, patting the dough and cutting their shapes out. However, the highlight was probably eating their biscuit after lunch! The children then evaluated their biscuits and thought about if they made them again, and had the time to decorate them, how would they decorate them?
On Wednesday we all enjoyed our Christmas church service. Kingfishers shared some of their prayers that they had written. The children had thought very carefully about what they wanted to say. It was then back to school for Christmas dinner. What excitement there was!
After lunch on Wednesday, the children in Year 1 and 2 all enjoyed a Christmas craft afternoon as a reward for all their pompoms that they had collected over the term. There was bauble making, snowflake making, Christmas stencilling, Christmas colourings and a few more activities that the children decided to try and make themselves! They had great fun!

Don't forget about our Winter Reading Challenge over the holidays, where we are encouraging all children to read as much as they can including fiction books, a chapter from a non-fiction book or poems! For every read you complete, write the name on the back of the challenge sheet and then colour in an object!

We can't wait to see your challenge sheets when they return to us, remember...
4 reads = 1 raffle ticket
8 reads = 2 raffle tickets
12 reads = 3 raffle tickets
We can hardly believe that we have reached the end of term and what a more wonderful way to end the term but to go to the pantomime......oh no you didn't.......
Oh yes we did!
And what a fantastic time we had, following Robin Hood on his adventures!
Have a very Merry Christmas and we can't wait to see you all in the New Year!
