Fri 24th May
The beautiful weather gave us a wonderful art opportunity...
observational painting in the sunshine!
We collected our equipment, chose a spot, looked carefully and used our water colour painting skills to recreate what we could see on our paper...
Sports day is edging closer and the field now has different sets of white marking for various activities.
We made use of the running lanes to try out our sprinting skills that we have been working on, also then trying out team shuttle relays!
Our poetry focus week gave opportunity to share and discuss features of poems, share a poem together, and the use our example to inspire our own poetry too.
We looked at the poem, 'Buttercup' as our previous class text had a botany focus.
We gathered ideas, wrote and published our own flower poems...
We had the opportunity for some 'mini' tennis at Park House this week and 8 of the Owls headed out ready to test out their skills in a round robin tournament.
Everyone played with enthusiasm and positivity and showed how many of out PE skills from throughout the year could be applied in a different sport.
Medals all round for everyone who entered, well done!
Have a great half term everyone!
See you on Monday 3rd June :-)
