World Book Day - WOW!

What super effort we saw across the school to celebrate World Book Day!

Amazing costumes, the Masked reader challenge, book cover art competition and sharing our love for reading together!

Our second Junior Music Festival rehearsal went really well this week, with a run through of the remaining songs we will be sharing for our 'Rainforest Rumble!' 

We now know that we have to think about performing these songs with out the words on the day, and so are starting to challenge ourselves ready for the final performance. 

Everyone should have access to the music and words online, if you don't please let me know and we can get information to you. There are also song words printed ready for children to take home on Monday.

We finished the week with the next step in our portrait sketching learning.

Today's challenge asked us to look and think carefully about showing emotion through varied facial expressions.

We noticed some parts of the face stay the same, however some features change and give us clues about how someone is feeling.

Eyes, eyebrows and mouths were the main parts of the face that changed.
