What a start to Wind in the Willows!
Making predictions of the world above ground that Mole found and then inferring what we know from the text that we can retrieve from.

We're so looking forward to find out more about where Mole goes and who he meets!

The music concert at Brightwalton Church on Wednesday after school was such a treat.

The children from Owls, who chose to join us, did a fantastic job of singing 'land of the silver birch' from our Rainforest Rumble concert along with the Brightwalton choir.

And then a real treat of musical talent too with not only wonderful singing, but dramatic drums, perfect piano and amazing ukalallee!

Well done to everyone involved!

We are all continuing to challenge ourselves to think about and use the most effective calculation strategies we can.

Our class list of what makes an effective calculation strategy included;

- Firstly- Reading a question properly (especially calculation symbols!)

- Being organised (especially with place value)

- Being quick, but accurate

- Using what we know already (number facts, fact families and times tables)

- Choosing a well understood method

We'll keep practicing and challenging ourselves!

Why not try these with us....
