15th November
Wow what a week!
We had so much fun on Tuesday for our Stone Age experience. We were lucky enough to touch and explore artefacts from the Stone Age period and take part in some role play where some children were farmers, bell beaker people and even deer! It was a very informative morning and we all had a brilliant time.
In English, we have been practising key writing skills that we can use in all types of writing such as adverbials of time and place, pre-modifiers for a noun and subordinate clauses to give more information about a verb. The writing this week has been of good quality and I have been very impressed. Next week, we are ready to plan and write our own recount letters from Om to the boy. The final two spellings have been added to the look, say, cover, write, check sheets ready for the test on Monday.
In Maths we have completed the work about adding and subtracting over boundaries using a number line and have now moved on to the column method. The children were amazing when there was no exchange involved and today we used counters and drew on the tables to practice adding with exchange.
Thank you for all your donations for Pennies for Pudsey today.
Have a great weekend and enjoy the winter fete.
