What a week!
On Tuesday Matty from the Watermill theatre visited us and led us in a drama workshop. We played games, learnt about different stage directions and devised different characters from simple instructions. The children had great fun and it was a good introduction to acting ready for our Corn Exchange Roald Dahl experience we are taking part in later on in the year.
We also had our final gymnastic lesson with Anita. The children were amazing and were extremely good at the positions – tuck, pike and straddle. In DT, after lots of effort, we were able to complete our Christmas decorations with a light up feature!
After taking part in our church service on Wednesday, we also enjoyed our Christmas lunch and had a wonderful visit from Father Christmas too.
We have had a hectic and busy term, the children (and you) definitely deserve a restful break. They have worked so hard and it’s been a pleasure supporting them along the way. Spring term will be just as busy – a one night residential, forest school every Monday afternoon, learning about rainforests, the Maya civilisation, forces and magnets, designing chocolate wrappers and creating rainforest art.
Have a fantastic Christmas and New Year.
