20th September
Another fantastic week!
We have been very busy this week – from exploring irregular verbs to making our biceps and triceps to see how they relax and contract. In History we used pictures from the Stone Age to find out what they ate and what they used each part of the animal for. Lots of place value counters were used this week to partition 3 and 4 digit numbers in several different ways.
At the end of term, we want to create our cave paintings so this week we experimented with different lines, colours and media to draw a variety of Stone Age animals such as woolly mammoths, red deer and cave lions. I was so impressed with what was created!
Owls have also enjoyed learning netball skills with Mr Richardson – I was amazed with how well they were able to throw, catch and find space. This morning, we had our first keyboard lesson with Kristoff. The children enjoyed playing the notes D and E. Some of us even tried to use other keys. We sounded very tuneful!
Enjoy your weekend.
