This week in English, we have been planning, drafting, editing and publishing our first independent write - a setting description of World War II London. In Maths, we have explored tenths and hundredths and practiced rounding numbers to the nearest 10, 100, 1000 and 10,000. PSHE was all about being global citizens and exploring how children are treated when making chocolate. In RE, we focused on how Hindu's use stories to teach them about life. In Science, we researched and and drew life cycles of birds and in History we investigated the Blitz - finding out when and why it happened. This week in art, we looked at the early work of Georgia O'Keeffe, when she produced mostly abstract pieces in charcoal. We looked at the techniques she used to show light and shadow and had a go at reproducing some of her pieces in charcoal ourselves. Finally in PE, we practiced jumping and having a solid landing and in football we focused on ball control.
