Happy Friday!

What amazing weather we have had this week, it has definitely made a difference to the Red Kites lunchtimes and break times and even using the Red Kites area to complete our learning and practice the play! We are speeding through this final term and this week has been a busy one.

First Aid

The children took part in a First Aid Training Course on Tuesday which taught them the important life skills of DRSABC and putting someone in the recovery position. We continue the First Aid training at Forest School to learn how to help someone outdoors in the elements. The children engaged beautifully with these activities and showed a sense of responsibility when practicing.

Letter of complaint...

This week we have written a letter of complaint to Dr Liz Bell (Our school governor and local representative running for MP) about the lack of Education funding in the 2024 election manifestos. Look out to see if we get a response!

Primary Project

Year 4s and 5s took part in John O'Gaunt's Primary Project and what fun they had! It was also a great opportunity to spend time together as the new Red Kites Class while year 6's spent time learning with year 3's.

GO for Gold

Mrs Chrimes and I have had an exciting meeting with our lighting hero Lawrence and our stage set up and lighting planning for the production is coming together! Whilst the children are making great progress with this, please please please support your children to learn their lines off by heart (roles and songs) and encourage them to really PERFORM!

Thank you to those parents/carers who sent in their child's bike for checking this week.

Next week we have KA's transition on Tuesday and our French Olympics organised by Mr Wilson on Friday - Much to look forward to .... as well as.... Year 6 will receive their leaver's hoodies on Friday!

Thank you for your continued support. We are so proud of the progress Red Kites are continuing to make, year 6's are shining bright, and year 5's are already stepping up setting a great example as next years year 6's.

Have a wonderful weekend, in the sun, fingers crossed it stays!

Take care,

Miss Oram
