WEEK 3
It has been a super busy week in Red Kites full of learning and progress. We are very proud of the children who have worked so hard on their assessment papers and are showing that they are making good progress, well done everyone!
PSHE
In PSHE we looked at how we can make the world a better place. Endless ideas were shared: supporting charities, donating, contributing and doing our bit to help the effects of climate change. One of the most important things the children talked about was showing kindness to themselves and others. From this we wrote compliments and things we admire about everyone in the class and read them to ourselves.
World Book Day
Fantastic efforts were made for costumes this year and the children were so excited for the day. We celebrated our favourite books and authors and of course the masked reader clips! Our book focus was The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse and the children thought carefully about the themes and important messages we can all take from the book. They enjoyed creating their own quotes.
"I enjoyed the Masked Reader, I liked the suspense and excitement!"
"It was great to see everyone enjoying dressing up and having so much fun."
"It was really exciting to see a dinosaur in the playground!!"
"I really enjoyed the book Miss Oram chose for us to focus on. It was really thought provoking and I enjoyed the activity."
Thank you to those parents who came to the PTFA craft afternoon and to those who donated books to the BOOK SWAP!
Have a lovely weekend including Mother's Day!
