10th July
What a very busy week!
This week has been mainly about rehearsals but we have squeezed some other learning into our week too! In English, we have been exploring balanced arguments: the structural features and the linguistic features. We have recapped previous tools like modal verbs and passive voice. In RE, we talked about having a good life and what that means – is it about what you have, what you did or the person you were? We also thought about values and how we can balance them.
On Wednesday, the Watermill Theatre came into to school to lead 3 workshops: one for dance, one for acting and one for design. Everybody took part in all 3 workshops, where we were taught about presence, keeping character, keeping in time and not giving up.
Finally, don’t forget to come and see our production – Mystery at Magpie Manor – in the school hall on Wednesday 15th July at 1:30pm (children allowed) or Thursday 16th July at 6:30pm (formal 1920’s wear requested and no younger children if possible.) We have worked incredibly hard on the production and can’t wait to perform it to you.
Have a great weekend.
