Monday 18th May 2026

We arrived safe and sound after an easy journey where everyone was enjoying a good singsong on the coach!

We were met by our group leader Dylan, with Immy and Alice joining us from the Grittleton team too.

Our first activity, after unloading the coach and putting our suitcases safely inside, was a tour around the house and grounds.

It's a very big house where lots of different activities go on from residential trip to conferences and weddings.

The grounds are widespread with lots of space for all of the outdoor activities on offer.

Our lunchtime was a picnic closely followed by games on the field.

 We were then invited into the house to find our rooms and prepare our beds. We now all realise that duvet cover are tricky things!

After organising our beds, we had a fire drill practice and were then shown the ‘boot room’ for our outdoor shoes.

We had some time to head back to our rooms and relax, before our first activities!
