8th December 2023
What a magical start to the week we had as we made our very own Christingles! The children loved learning all about what each part of the Christingle represented, from the red ribbon that represents the love around the world (orange) to the sweets representing the four seasons and all the good in the world, which we tried really hard not to eat! As we lit our candles, it was simply a beautiful moment to share together.
As we get increasingly close to Christmas we simply love spending time in our Christmas home corner and this week we even made Christmas dinner! Whilst some of us were busy setting the table, we made Christmas pudding and even made sure that we had Christmas cookies ready for Santa to enjoy! "Mrs Brown, don't touch the pudding, it's really hot!"
"Mrs Brown, we're making a Duplo town!" As the children continue to love using our Duplo, it is lovely to hear their conversations as they support each other in building their town together, although this week the topic of conversation was mainly...."Mrs Brown, where's the Duplo toilet gone?"
The latter part of our week has been all about.....The Nativity.
We had our full dress rehearsal on Thursday morning and I don't want to reveal too much but what I can say is that it was beautiful. All the children knew their lines, knew where to stand on stage and just got on with it!
Next week you are in for a treat.....sneak preview......
