TERM 2 WEEK 4

28 Nov 25

Again, another week has flown by with lots of rehearsals and 'christmassy' things happening as well as all our 'usuals'.

It's such a magical time of year (and we are ready to turn the dial up even further next week - all will be revealed on Monday), but it is also an exhausting time of year. Please be reassured that it is quite normal for your child to come home feeling more tired and more emotional than usual. Our routines are slightly disrupted with all the rehearsals and crafts and glitter etc. This in itself can be quite unsettling as its not 'the normal routine'. Please come and talk to us at any time - we have been doing this for many years and are quite used to seeing this change in behaviour - we are in Winter season where it is often cold and dark in the mornings and evenings and Term 1 and 2 are always the longest (and hardest).

We are always here to listen and offer support.

Moving on to some lighter bits from our week.....

We have been busy decorating decorations for the village Christmas tree and on Wednesday morning, we walked over to the village hall and proudly placed our decorations on the tree - if you are out and about in the village please take some time to pop over and take a look at what I think is the best decorated tree in the land!

Sticking with 'arts and craft' the Robins have been using their skills that they have been working on these past two terms. They have used their scissor skills to cut out a Christmas tree which is not an easy shape to cut out. They were amazing! The children then used their skills of holding a paintbrush and getting the right amount of paint on it to paint their trees. They took really good care when painting them.

Towards the end of the week, our discussions focussed on celebrations and traditions and we talked about St. Andrew's day and the way that Scottish people may celebrate their Saint's day on Sunday 30th November. We even raised flags in our own classroom celebration, rounded off with some toast!

Have a great weekend and see you all on Monday

(and we will welcome the month of December!)
